SIMI VALLEY — November 4, 2026. Mike Judge led Simi Valley’s five-candidate mayoral contest in the first overnight returns: 10,970 votes (41.67%), ahead of Kareem Jubran with 8,593 (32.64%) and Dee Cavanaugh with 5,725 (21.74%). Wayne Holland had 600 and Robert Clarizio 440. This is a citywide mayoral race, separate from the city’s district council elections.

District 1: 12 votes separate Abele and Ayala

In the separate District 1 short-term council contest, Jill Abele received 2,683 votes (38.69%) and Joseph Ayala 2,671 (38.52%) in the overnight NBC table, with Anthony Thompson at 1,069 and Todd Taylor at 511. The margin between the first two was just 12 votes — too narrow to treat as a final result.

Districts 2 and 4

Samuel Cohen led Richard Perini 3,359 to 2,482 in District 2. Natalie Christmann led District 4 with 2,913, followed by D.S. Joshua Gray, Debra Dickerson and Scott Juceam. The contests have different electorates and positions.

What the first returns do and do not show

The results are early returns, not certified winners or final turnout. Ventura County will continue processing valid outstanding mail and other eligible ballots during the official canvass. District candidates represent voters in their own electoral area; their numbers cannot be combined with other districts or the mayoral race. The county’s later report may change margins, so California58 will identify the timestamp of each updated count.
